Become a Mentor
Guide. Inspire. Empower.
At Stand 4 Sisterhood (S4S), we believe one woman’s wisdom can transform another woman’s future.
By becoming a mentor, you commit to walking alongside a girl or woman as she discovers her confidence, strengthens her voice, and steps boldly into her purpose. Your experiences — both the victories and the lessons — have power.
Mentorship isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence.

Why Mentorship Matters
Every girl deserves someone who believes in her potential before she fully sees it herself.
Through mentorship, we:
- Build confidence and leadership skills
- Provide guidance during pivotal life transitions
- Expand educational and career awareness
- Strengthen emotional resilience
- Foster positive, intergenerational connections
Research and lived experience consistently show that consistent, positive role models significantly improve personal development and long-term success outcomes.
At S4S, mentorship is more than advice — it’s empowerment in action.

What Our
Mentors Say
“Mentorship is about helping someone else see the possibilities they can’t yet see for themselves.”
Sheryl Sandberg
Sharing my experience as an educator and entrepreneur with girls ages 10-18 was an incredible honor.
The opportunity to connect with these bright young minds during the panel Q&A and dive deeper in one-on-one sessions was truly inspiring, especially when discussing their future careers.
Shaunte Allen
Speaking at Stand 4 Sisterhood’s Diamonds in the Rough camp reminded me how powerful mentorship and sharing your story can be. Guiding girls to take up space, embrace their voice, and see their worth shows that the right support can truly change a life.
Dr. Barbie Kalev
Mentoring through Stand 4 Sisterhood shows how the right support can transform a vision into reality. Being able to guide someone and watch their growth is incredibly rewarding — mentorship doesn’t just change businesses, it changes lives.

How much time is required to be a mentor?
Time commitments may vary depending on the program structure and mentee needs. Mentors are expected to maintain consistent communication and participate in scheduled sessions or activities as outlined by Stand 4 Sisterhood. Specific expectations will be shared during the onboarding process.
How does mentorship impact the community?
Mentorship at Stand 4 Sisterhood goes beyond individual growth. By supporting a girl or woman, mentors help build stronger communities, inspire future leaders, and create a ripple effect that touches families, schools, and neighborhoods. One mentor can spark lasting change far beyond the mentee’s personal journey.
What if I have never mentored before?
That’s completely okay. Many strong mentors begin with a willingness to serve. If you are open, committed, and ready to learn, we will provide the support needed to help you succeed.
Can I mentor more than one participant?
Opportunities to mentor multiple participants may be available depending on program capacity and your availability. This can be discussed during the onboarding process.
Do mentors need a background check?
Yes. To ensure the safety and well-being of our participants, all mentors are required to complete a background check before being officially matched with a mentee. This helps us maintain a safe and supportive environment for everyone involved.
Can I mentor virtually?
Depending on program structure and participant needs, mentorship opportunities may be available both virtually and in person. Details will be provided once matched and onboarded.
How are mentors matched with mentees?
Mentors are thoughtfully matched based on shared interests, goals, professional background, and personal development areas. Our goal is to create meaningful and productive connections.
