Our Story

Stand 4 Sisterhood (S4S) was founded by Dr. Marguritte S. Johnson and officially established in Dallas, Texas on December 21, 2016, as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

S4S exists to break down economic, mental, and social barriers that hold girls and women back—barriers that too often lead to poverty, gender inequality, and generational cycles of abuse and addiction.

Our vision is bold and global: to equip girls and women with a strong sense of identity, self-sufficiency, and purpose, empowering them to live confidently, lead boldly, and create a lasting, pay-it-forward legacy for generations to come.

Philosophy

To provide meaningful support, renewed hope, and long-term sustainability for girls and women, Stand 4 Sisterhood (S4S) is rooted in the guiding principle of “Each One, Reach One.” This philosophy drives the design and delivery of all S4S programs through intentional, multi-generational mentoring, ensuring impact that extends beyond individuals and into families, communities, and future generations.

4CORE: Mentoring 4 Generations serves as the framework that brings this vision to life—acting as a catalyst for lasting change by creating opportunities for girls and women across four generations—Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z—to connect, engage, and exchange lived experiences. Through this collective approach, participants grow together, lead with purpose, and pay it forward as an empowered cohort.
